Realm abilities + piety is like a buff or?

Does the Realm Ability (Augmented Acuity) that give +6 to Piety for a runemaster each lvl count as an itembonus? or some kind of buff?

As I find it pretty easy to cap piety with items it wouldn't be much good if it counts as an item bonus.

As far as I know, any realm ability is added apart from your cap...

Or it would be a bit crap...

I think they count as if you had specced 6 extra points when rolling your character - so it's separate from your caps.

from my (albeit limited) experience in the American game, i can assure you that the power regen abilities (serenity, mystic crystal lore) are far more effective than +6pie. or eve +12, or +18.

Duh - you need piety to get those

Plus piety does effect your damage. 10 pie giving you around 1% more damage.
