Anyone got any recommendations for stuff that isn't too intrusive when reading?

At the moment I listen to Jarre, Air, Kinobe, Blue States and recently have just been digging out chilled out stuff so that I'm not tempted to get too involved or heavily listening to lyrics. A great favourite currently being Engineers eponymous debut, I don't listen to it often but seems to be very fitting when just chilling out or even doing such delights as the ironing (probably didn't sell it very well to you there but I think it's a very good album).

I guess most of these records could also be described as 'to get stoned to' but of course would never advocate such activities... ;)

A few suggestions off the top of me head, I smoke to these rather than read (it really is so much more mind expanding), but they should fit your purposes

Nightmares on Wax - Smoker's Delight
Chilled Euphoria
Goldie - Timeless
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing
Jack Johnson (any)
Various chilled DnB collections (Trance N Bass is a particular favourite)
Rodrigo - Concierto de Aranjuez
Holst - The Planets

Thanks for recommendations, will check out some, (though probably not Enya). I do own all Jack Johnson albums, been a fan for a while.

Engineers are still growing on me, probably worth a listen if you're a smoker.
