Last week a merc epic hauberk was "stolen" from Lujo, and AoD merc.
A guy called Denwp persuaded him to pass the hauberk to try it on, with this speak:
- I am new to this game, what is that cool armour, wow, can I try it on?

Lujo was , hmm , an angel enough, to give him the hauberk, then the guy LD-ed and never appeared again.

Stealing was not a habit on our server up to now, the rightnow guys wont care to investigate such accidents, so TAKE CARE !!!

Dont be soft with newbie-like thiefs, and dont give any value away to try-it-on, unless you won't miss it anyway.

Damn shame thet things like these happen. uke:

if he'll start talking more BS he's not a noob but just a idiot trying to trick you into giving stuff

if he starts killing the snakes, well... then he'll be busy for a while...

told him it was sidi and he kept on askin to try it on he wanted to make a SS and sent it to a pal ... playin the nOOby etc ....
he was lvl 20 and in the start a default guild
told him where to go ofc


it sucks ppl cant b trusted, but really to give sum1 a item when u dont know him from adam is just askin for it imho especially if the item has vaulue to yourself

can ppl message /gu /as about this scam as not all ppl read BW

at the end of the day only do trades with people you know and trust, or if you are really desperate , ask me. Never give any stuff you treasure to strangers, it's not worth the risk

I didn't give my sword for some newbie to try it on..

The scammer pretended a guy I trust, so he got it that way.

Well doesn't matter, I can farm cash if we just get DF sometime.

well normally if someone asks and i'm not afk at Goth bindstone or busy doing research ^^, i first check guild, then lvl, if it's a guild with a reasonable rep he can have a peek, but an insta 20 with some vague name as "Denwp" ("Pwned" backwards ofc) even when in a respectable guild i'll just say, make a SS of me holding it or sumtin'. But generally speaking i'm too annoyed (or just plain afk ) to respond within an hour ^^

Lvl 1 rogue posted that he had bought the sword for 4P four days earlier and saw this post. Then I offered to give 1P for it.

Probably was the scammer or probably wasn't, dunno.
