Hi there just a quickie!

Anyone with 600k Broadband connection tell me what it is like?

Im rather new to online gaming and would like to know what its like? Obviously the 1mb would be quicker but what is 600k like please?

There won't be a jot of different between 600k and 1mb on any multiplayer games that exist today.

Only difference would be downloading files.

Much lag etc, I have only played once or twice on 36k or 33k whatever it was and man it was bad so I aint played since!

What game(s) are we talking about?

Something like HL, Q2 or Q3 can be played on a 56k connection without too much lag. A cable connection provides perhaps the best possible ping times that can be achieved playing online, and bandwidth isn't a huge issue. Or at least not when you have 600k it isn't

Sorry to be stoopid! But when you say cable is that the same as Broadband?

Yes, or at least one way. Cable is a type of broadband.

CS will deffinately play ok on a 56k connection. I'm not sure how good it'd be on a 33k conn, however i would imagine it's playable if you find a server near to you.
