Ranger Sniper Temp

Hi all,

I haven't seen a sniper temp in ages with Galvorne's Bow that isn't US-based and therefore items are all over the place. I've tried for what is current in EU (for at least the next 2 weeks), it probably sucks but there we go, I've put Snatcher in for the RP whore effect - see what you think. Suggestions welcome.

why bother with resists? after all u are in a grp most of the time, let soul grapple em and you take em down with mastery of adding 5 ?

i think today there no real option other than GoV torso for archers (4*4% toa stats + cap incr + stilla decent proc)

if you go sniper, i'd advice getting AT, as 5% passive pierce will boost your dmg way more than those 2% from golm (and 5% passive + 5% active 10/15mins rocks ... honestly)

personally i really favor high AF n hits, maybe even more than maxed heat or cold sists (most of the time you get hit either by arrows/melee or fire bolts anyway these times )

btw: noober question ... what's the proc on galvornes? the heat dot or anything really nasty?

I see your point with GoV - I do feel however Dragon vest works nicer for an archer, 3 of those ToA stats are nice but reasonably irrelevant for a bowman (melee dam, spell dur, style dam), though I'll give you caps and proc are nice.

I considered AT but found it hard to fit in with its lack of archery bonuses. I did play with dropping sists in favour of the hits and have fitted in hits rather than the odd few points of sist where I can (hence hits in all sc'd bits).

Galvorne proc is 125 dam heat dot - and it procs rather a lot, hence why I'm using it.

Thanks again for taking the time to put in advice, I'm tinkering with it!

What items are you considering in them Drungan?

It would be good to see what could be swapped about as ofc calcs don't show you the procs etc. Mine is cheap using items I have or could be obtained - with such a low pop decent drag farming etc would be very hard work and this is a secondary char for me.

Most rangers I think atm use Galvorne's due to it's proc (I might be mistaken, but most seem to), it's nice that now without it you can easily cap (or come close to) archer stats with the other bows. I at least consider the proc too nice not to use.

Thanks for the GoV update, slightly different to what I had looked at - silly me for not checking.

for the other 2 i mainly swap belt and ring and reorder sc.

other is with traldor/zahur, or the one with better melee skills is with forest stalker/bp ring instead of traldor/brute

regarding bow, yeah, had alphera hit me with galvorne's some time ago, can be nasty when it ticks indeed, esp with the 4% heat i got in temp atm

personally i love braggart's the most, for the nice dex cap and more important for the eye of predation. it enables me to run around with full 10% resistpiercing 10/15 minutes with the same buff from mariasha's, literally i have it up almost whenever i want on top of the 9% archer dmg.

although i can see the point to choose another damageform with a good proc over higher bowdamage

i carry multiple bows around for each situation. Depends, doesn't really gimp me that much either from what i see
