Ranger RvR spec

Well as the topic says i would like to know a few good RvR spec´s for a luri ranger, and i would also like to know how to put the starting points when making the char (str,dex etc). Playing alot of pvp right now and i have seen that rangers with good specs are pretty good in 1 vs 1, not many around and i forgot to ask them about their spec so all the help here is needed.

Start with Str/con/dex imo

As luri ull prolly wanna go pierce..

My rangers spec is :

40 RB
39 Blades
36 PF
22CD
30 Stealth

(or close to)

After the next ranger changes I rekon this is a pretty reliable spec.

Yeah Marsey .... that 9 sec stun ... nerf! Great in Duels but is it really that useful in RvR?

DB being at 25 spec


Reason i went blades is coz all my chars have been pierce the majority of the time and I wanted a change

go pierce no doubt.

my spec atm is (look sig).

it will be a good solo spec after 1.62 and still ok in grps since you get first lvl of both abilities. if you are planning on grp alot, i would go 50 bow and ditch pathfinding, you will get worse at soloing, but dmg add is most worth against assasins, and at low RR's you will be pretty much dead anyway.. :/

well not as usefull as in duels but could change the outcome in any fight.

as a ranger theres no point in taking your bow to 50, we dont meet pbt as often as scouts/hunters

id say max to go would be 45, but im keeping mine at 40 and might drop it to 35 for something along the lines of alderians spec

Basically, for grouping, drop stealth completely(maybe put 15 or so if you want to be able to move around stealthed or shoot stealthed at keep defense/offense), for soloing, have at least 30 stealth, having pf at 36 or 40(depending on if you dont have a bot and wants to have the str and dex/qui buffs) helps too. The other specs(weapon/CD/bow) are pretty much all up to your playstyle

Edit: Oh and yeah, specing to 50 in any spec is generally a *bad* idea unless you have a very very good reason to do it.

Soloing is slow, boring, unprofitable and buffbot dependent....

Oh and you are likely to get PA'd on the odd occasion

Been thinking about peirce for a while only thing stopping me is lack of a respec stone... template above suits my grouping tendancy and gives good all round ability without being master at anything.

sure you dont wanna be soloing with 6 stealth.

But rangers will be superb grp characters in 1.62 to not have 50 bow is wasting what could be an oversight by mythic.

100% penetrating arrow could be over powered.

as always though spec is dependent on how you wanna play.
