Ranged Attack problem

Hi,

I am currently having problems with my hunter, I pull a mob long range arrows and it charges towards me, but sometimes it will get halfway and then turn around and run. If I haven't killed it before it gets outside my range I have massive problems as it wont let me get close enough for me to kill it. (If i move closer to it, it goes further away). If I leave it alone though it usually waits until I pull another mob and then it comes back, I usually am Soloing so cant handle two yellow/orange cons at once.

Does anyone have an idea how to stop this from happening, or if it does, how can I get back into range to take it out (Sprinting wont help me cos it uses endurance up and by the time i have my bow ready to fire it is out of range again anyway)

Thanks for any help

I haven't played the Hunter class, but I have a similar problem with my Sorceress.

If I nuke them too hard before they reach me, sometimes they'll turn and run. Worse still, is the fact that rooting them doesn;t work when they try to escape.

The best thing I've found is to run alongside, flanking them, leaving them behind slighty then I'll turn and nuke to kill.

Don't you have pets? Maybe you can send in your pet as he comes towards you?

You know that you will automatically release your shot and reload if you hit your bow-hotkey twice? This makes shooting a bit faster and may help you. When I am soloing enemies with the bow, they only turn around and try running back once they are so badly wounded that they only move at snail pace. No problem there then.
If your enemy runs away after the second arrow, maybe you should time your shots better and wait a bit more before letting the second arrow fly. If all else fails, maybe you have to find braver targets :)

Not played a hunter but get the same thing on my scout. Thing to do it move up a bit and then stealth and the mob will wander back again then normal shot it. You need to get within about half of your bowrange so that the mob doesnt have a chance of running out of range again. Repeat the stealth shot process until you kill it.
