I understand that Ottar wrote a guide on how to build and use seige rams, but I cant find it, would it be possible for someone to post a link to it or maybe to another similar guide.

There is a row of little greenish buttons up there, on top right corner of the BW forum window. One of them is labeled “search”. Query for “siege equippment” resulted in the thread you are searching for being right on top of the result list. Nifty.

The guide is a bit outdated. Most importantly, rams no longer need 600 wood but only 300.

That means a lvl 50 troll thane can move with a ram on him with only selfbuffs. Level 50 dwarf skald with capped str and shaman 37 aug spec buffs can carry a ram with no encumberance. Makes things very, very much easier. And cheaper - rams now only cost only 30 something golds. They now also take only 7 slots in one’s vault.

Ha ha but watch out for enemy debuff spells when you carry a ram: you might become encumbered surprisingly quickly.
