Rail Gun

Moor and moor people seem to be useing the rail gun and getting good with it.{exsept me}
I can not hit anyone with it.{ANY TIPS}
Do your connection speed make it easyer to use.

wack yer cl_maxfps up to 60 m8, even on a modem this is ok, make sure your mouse is ps2 or usb as seriel mice SUCK for sensitivity, get a prog called ps2rate and wack that to 200 mhz

try and guess the path of your victim and aim ahead

MMM After a lot of tweaking best on a modem you can prob get is cl_maxfps at 40 FPS which should be fine (rate of 4000 prob ok). If you only connect at 33.6k prob a bit less for them.

Sorry meant to say, connection speed greatly helps railz. If you can go LPB then you'll see your rails greatly improve. But as a HPB aim for where people land when they jump.
A low mouse sensitivity good 3d card and processor also help a bit

My only comment would be :

'Practice makes perfect'

Play duels with a m8 where you're only allowed to use the railgun .... or practice only using the railgun whenever you play.

Another good way would be to practice playing off-line with some bots and only using the railgun. Altho humans are always better practice

I was playing someone with rails the other day with a ping of 200.Being used to a ping of 80, it reminded me how much of a guessing game HPB railing is.

I am on 64k now for 3 more days (long story), so when i go back to 33.6k[) its gonna be a bitch to actually hit something.

Remember when railing to aim ahead and if you are playing against an LPB keep in mind your game, depending on the ping difference, is behind theres - if their ping is half of yours they see things happening in half the time that you do.
