Raids time

Please don't take this as a whine.
Just a personal opinion and a call for comments.

Most of the raids seems to start at 19:00 GMT atm.
I know there are a lot of different countries playng, different habits, different dining times, different styles of living.

For a person like me living in a CET zone, having a work and a family the play time usually starts a bit later, when childrens go bed.

I know a lot of people having the same problem.

I KNOW you can say "if you want another time make YOUR own raid and arrange it" (that is what I do, i.e. I leaded a ML raid a few days ago and made it start at 9 GMT)

But was wondering what could be the general opinion (on therefore the chance of having more success in raids having more people doing it) about shifting the "common" starting hour a bit later during working days?

What people think about this?

P.S. To be sure this will not be taken badly as a personal whine I am posting this only after having done ML8 with my tank and ML5 with my druid, that is all I always wanted and so further steps I' will do in spare time only and for fun only....

majority of ppl play by GMT and some of the raids are really long. if i had started my ml 3 raid i held other week at 9pm it wouldnt have finished till 3 am, im sorry but i cant be doing that and i suspect a large proportion are the same

i know its only an hour but its still an hour of sleep gone to waste

I agree with Chipper, i live CET timezone aswell and 19.00 is perfect for most raids. And like you said... if the time is not conveniant for you, it's best to make your own raids with people who also have a problem with the starting time.

I agree with Tholus. 19.30 gmt or 20.00 gmt will make it a lot easier for me to get there.

Also, no whine intended. I can pick the raids I can make, but for the higher ones (7+), missing one feels a bit like missing a train and wasting time in a station waiting... But then again it's the same the other way round, maybe if it gets too late for you, it's a drag too. So a call for opinions is interesting, hence me answering.

The fact that most raids start at 7pm gmt probably means this is the best time for most ppl.
Otherwise the 'invisable hand' woulda moved them to a later time. It must be irritating if you can't make these times.

I wish they would start even earlier because I live in CET+1 timezone (GMT+2 officially). For me most raids take too long and I just have to quit in the middle if I'm going to sleep before new working day. Mythic made ToA too time consuming imo.

Unfortunately there is no answer that can satisfy everyone.

Actually there is. You dont have to do an entire ML in one sitting.

this dissatisfies me! :twak:

its a lot better to do it all at once so only 1 evening is ruined not 2 for a lot of players
