Hi there, bought a Sapphire Radeon 9800 PRO for about a month ago
Problem is that in daoc, I get graphic bugs from time to time.
-The VPU recover shit pops up resulting in GFX bug
-The screen turns entirely black, and I cant do shit

Afaik this only happens in DaoC, I played thru all Doom3 without any problems

My specs:
AMD64 3000+
1GB Twinmos DDR400
GFX card as noted above
Win2k

- I have Directx 9.0c installed
- I have the newest chipset drivers installed
- I have the newest ATI catalyst drivers installed
- I have SP4 and all updates on windows installed

This just takes the piss, altho it doesnt not happen often
But sucks running in emain/odins and crashing

My spec's are very simulair, and my GFX card is also Radeon 9800 Pro, but Excalibur Icy Cooling model, and I have only had good experiences in DAoC...

I dont think I have SP4 installed tho, might be Microsoft fucking up, just for a change? :p

But really, I have no clue to what is the problem, just wanted to point out that Radeon 9800 Pro and DAoC can work together

Try to disable Fastwrite in the Ati control panel.

Try turning off the VPU recover system in the graphics control panel. For some people it seems to cause more trouble than being helpful.
