Race for the Portal Keep

I'm curious as to how close to an enemy portal keep people have got when they are suiciding. A group of us were doing my pallys 43 epic which meant we had to kill a templar near the HPK in Hadrians Wall (sorry to those Hibs we run over, I just wanted to go do the Epic, but one of my group just charged in, oh well us 4 vs your 7 and we still beat you, even though one of you mightve got an exp death :( ), anyway we decided suicide would be quickest way home and decided to charge the HPK. On a previous suicide at the same PK I had managed to get about 2 steps from the PK door before I died, so suggested we see how far we could get this time. Well this time I actually managed to get to the inner PK door before 3 Guardians hacked me down.

Can anyone beat that at all? And yes, I was the last to die (guess that plate does have some use :) ).

Due to a lucky "door opening" moment and some minstrel speed, I actually died inside the mid PK in emain about three weeks ago. Was a giggle.

Maybe if he had a medallion on, and timed it so the gothis were transporting, he could have made his way to another portal keep to get killed immediately there. What a fanciful notion.

Yep theres some hibbies with a screenshot of the view from the teleport pad of the Middie PK in emain

you just got to time it right I guess, to get through the doors

Damn, thought I'd got quite far up, guess I'll have to try grouping with a minstrel next time :D I gonna try for the back of the PK too :p

I once heard from someone that he made it inside the keep, inside the pk keep. Not just past the doors and died at the pad, but inside the keep, and up some stairs. Unfortunately I can't remember who it was, and I have absolutely nothing to back this up with, so if you want to treat this as pure rubbish, please do.

Read my reply (the one with the two pictures) a few replies up.

I got past the pad and into the circle tower. I could have got a bit up the spiral ramp but I hesitated for some unknown reason.

Any1 actually got into ather realm b4 cos i herd a middie did it once on prydwen and got into alb and killed every n00b he saw.

i mean like charging the entrances into the realms native frontier,
like charging mids entrance into yggdra.

Twas our good freind blood as far as i knew, i may be wrong.

from what i heard he jumped over the frontier keep at a bugged spot and got over it, he then proceeded to maim kill and slaughter nearly every alb he came accross, till he had THE idea.
why go find albs when he can sit near a bind spot and kill people as they release back to bind stone.Cue pissed off albs and blood with a 3 day ban

as said before though this is all what i heard from albs, not sure the rest of the exact details

By the way for those who didn't know all frontier keep gaurds have 100% see hidden. you CANNOT walk through the frontier gate with stealth

The person you are refering to is Sinister, it was back when we were at patch 1.38 I think, basically there was a bug with the frontier keeps, you could stealth thru without the guards detecting you if the doors were opened, he stealthed in when the door was opened to Snowdonia Castle I think it was and waited for the inner doors to open, then basically run about the Albion home land and yes, he went around killing people, mainly lowbies by Prydwen bridge and out on Salisbury Plains as well, I think he got a weeks suspension of his account for it, since it was an exploitation of a bug (since it was stated by Mythic that the home realms were inaccessable by the enemy realms), which is against the CoC, I think the suspension was done to make an example to everyone else that that sort of thing wouldn't be tolerated. There was alot of debate on the then forums about it, lots of mud being flung about on all sides and the bug got fixed when we were patched to 1.45. If memory also serves, there was a stealther who got thru into Albion on excal as well, but he just wandered about and waved at a few people before getting bored and going back to his realm. :D

Reason I remember it was Sinister was cos I was near Salisbury Plains at the time, and saw alot of xxxx was just killed by Sinister and I remember thinking, crikey, some mob is having a field day today, until someone in my guild took pity on me and explained what was going on. ;)

Yes, it was Sinister alright. To my knowledge Blood has never used that bug, so don't start throwing that mud his way.

Not quite correct. A hunter on Excalibur got through using stealth and waiting for the doors to open, fair play to the guy. Sinister went through by exploiting a bug in the Snowdonia Border Keep, which allowed him to walk through the wall.

heh been a while since this one came up.

Two things here..

1) Sinister stealthed through
2) There is/was a bug which allowed you to jump through.

Two people from alb jumped through and had a guided tour by azal i think (if memory serves) of midgard. Nothing untoward happened, but it was a bit naughty.

Sinister stealthed through and killed a few grey cons. That was about it really.

To be honest, every stealther wonders if they can do that it's just so tempting. He got in early enough to be able to do it - fair enough in my opinion. It was a long time ago, move along :D

O Excalibur some Hibbies managed to get into the MPK in emain and actually kill a Mid (lowbie I assume), but the pic is hilarious :)

While we're on the subject, my lowbie hunter and groupmates got ganked by an elf mage just outside Audliten on Excal a couple of months back. That one never stirred up much attention though, guess everyone was exhausted after the Sinister episode.

I very much doubt the mage stealthed through, through. :)

I was with dook that day, which you can see in his groupwindows, and i got 30% up the stairs, i have a screenshots of it, but no webspace :)
