Hi everybody. I doubt any of you remember me but does anyone still play QW CTF anymore? I miss the "good old days" so dug up an old PC I had sitting unused (an ancient P200 without 3D graphics card!!!) and decided to install some old games on it including Quake + QuakeWorld. Having done that I was wondering if anyone still plays QW CTF on the BW UKCTFL public server? If so what sort of times do you play and can I join in again?

old ctf server 440 times and pinged it 7758 times - one sad fucker
i did have an 8 ppl game on
axesforall ctf server last week

good fun but qw maps with flags not real ctf ,maps- but i was drunk-still good fun

Yeah, I'd like regular CTF games (perhaps a late night/early morning Friday/Saturday game). CTF fucking rocks!!!

Hi there,

Yeah it would be good to have some BW QW CTF games. I'm available most evenings or weekends if anyone does want a game. Perhaps we can organise something through the ukctf list?

If we can get a game going on the BW's servers has anyone got a map list or do I need ALL those maps in the BW FTP section?

I am free from work in a week or so time, so it will be good to get back into CTF.

required to take
quake to qw to glqw to qw-ctf and gl qw-ctf

whats the latest version of qwctf and where can i get it?

ive never played any of the client side mods like ctf and tf, might as well give it a bash

£50 says emrys plays defence :)

Hey you can count me in. Never played it but will give any qw varient a try. It'll give yous lot some easy frags anyways :)

I've just had a run around the bwctf server and it looks pretty cool :cool:

Excuse ignorance but is the basic gameplay/objective the same as teamfort but without the limitations of playertype and weapons, or is there any other major differences ? (the grapple...dogs-nob :) )

Actually I used to like being tarzan with the enemy flag.

Shall we try to set an initial date, or at least arrange an irc channel where we can meet (say this Friday night). I am working away from home (as usual) until then. :/

This Friday evening would suit me fine - how about everyone else? About 7.00pm - or is that too early for some? Do we need to bother with meeting in IRC if we are just playing about on the BW UK Public server?

If you really want to get into the socks of a LOT of QWCTF players, try UKCTF@MINOS.CO.UK (cant remember how to subscribe to the bugger mind!)

Either that or get someone on the BW News page to at least broadcast it a week or so beforehand ;)

and goypvs@barrysworld for my e-mail well that is
going back very very far

will it still work

we did get a wee game
and cj come back and give it a try i was up in the roof space with loads of rockets m8 soz
it's not that hard when more ppl are playing.
