Don't worry too much about all of them 'leaving'.

They'll be back. ;P

Go look at the new ToA screenshots. That new engine alone is enough to keep me hooked for a while longer. =)

I have left 3 times on total, managed 3 months first time, 5 months 2nd time and this time its for good, cancelled accounts, uninstalled DAoC and SI and tbh I am well past the 'Cold Turkey' period now, have zero urge to play so officially cured. Ofc I still browse forums and spam, but thats nout to do with the Game and more the people :D

still, yes Quitting is so very FotM, loads get bored of FotM and go back to their original state (aka resub and back in game), but with some of the high profile names leaving, it is a sign that maybe this time its for real :D

ToA will make daoc interesting for a while, then it's the same boring game after that.

And I doub't it will bring all the old people back.

I'd rather stick with civ3 ;o

My sanity is not in question here. (Or lack of it, either!)

/fluffs Cush

I enjoy PvE. I'll happily kill mobs for hours on end while chatting in /gu and stuff. That's why I look forward to ToA too.

As for RvR.. Well, it can be fun at times, but it rarely happens than I live long enough to enjoy it. It's just zerg vs. zerg. The one thing making it worth is right now is TSing a milegate and uncovering the dozens of assassins scurrying around there. =)

Oh, and I'm waiting for an evade nerf too. So I can actually hit the little bastards. ;P

why is quitting fotm and why do you complain on pve ? rvr is just a "bonus", not many MMORPG's has it unless they are "pvp servers" sort off

because in daoc pvp is concidered the end game and is also the main reason many of us played for so long.
the pve in daoc is incrediblle repetitive and boring.once you levelled one char to 50 and did all the epic mobs once you've pretty much seen it all.

i doubt it.. i dont know if that much people are waiting to farm the next generation uberitems...

they should fix the original game before bringing out any further expansions...

one of the first successfull mmorpgs, Ultima Online, had a 100% pvp system, i dont think the pvp (or rvr) part should be a bonus, but a base...

If quitting was fotm then it would be mainly mids who quits right?
