Which option is the better for my GF3 ti500 ?
I've got a fairly butch PC so I shouldn't have any problems running either.

Now that I've installed XP I can finally get to this setting, it gave me an error when clicking properties previously.

Hell, try both. 4x is more of a performance hit than Quincunx. I run Quincunx myself, though it can make small text look very weird.

Read about this in my GF4 manual.

Aparently, Quincunx gives quality almost as good as 4x, but at a hit almost the same as 2x.

While 4x gives better quality but bigger performance hit.

In a little playing around I've found that 2x looks shite with text and 4x looks ok - so long as you think blurry is an improvement.

I'm currently running Jedi Knight 2 in 1600x1200 anyway though so I haven't bothered with it :p

I went with 4x, to see if it slowed down the system at all. I played CS at 1280 mode and still got 99 fps(capped at that), so that'll do :)

Quincinx improved my CS framerate. I have no idea why. But the text was all blurry.

probably because it makes the whole Screen Smoother, which would include Text...
