Quickbars, and sound

Once you have installed and patched your shiny new Shrouded Isles client, you don't have to remake all your quickbars manually - just copy the Charactername-Servernumber.ini files from the old DAoC directory into the new Shrouded Isles directory. They are interchangeable.

If you are not hearing sound effects (spell effects, etc.) in your classic DAoC client, check in the "options" button (it's bugged at the moment but it's where the "resists" button used to be) and get to the in-game options. For some reason a lot of people had their sound effects set to "none" by the upgrade patch.

cheers m8 soon as i get my copy of SI i will do that.. reseting 5 qb's on my druid isn't fun.

Heh - I simply thought they just swicthed the variables around because I suddenly had music and no sound instead of no music and sound.
