was wondering with the introduction of horses to cammy. Will mincer speed affect horses? just thinking if not then surely thats another mincer thing gone to waste (like power song thanks to FoP)

And sorcs can do jobs of mezzing etc. Dont want my mincer to lose his speed too

caster speed and normal person on a horse
caster on a horse
mincer

now somewhere in there is a shaman perma sprinting on his horse....i reckon its as fast as a caster on a horse

Sort of.

Basically when on a horse, you look like a person on a horse.

If you would be moving faster than horse speed if not on a horse, you look like a person on a horse, and move at that higher speed.

Basic horses move at 135% of normal run speed. Advanced horses move at 150% of your regular speed. If you have a speed buff that's faster than this, you'll move at the faster speed whether on a horse or not, the two speeds don't stack.
FYI, red caster speed is 154% of normal run speed and red Minstrel/Bard/Skald speed is 204%.

If you want to see it in a clearer format:
Basic run speed: 100%
Green Caster speed: 132%
Basic horse speed: 135%
Grey song class speed: 144%
Advanced horse speed: 150%
Red caster speed: 154%
Green song class speed: 156%
Red song class speed: 204%

They can carry items for you and you could run a different song like Ablative or Powersong.

To carry more siege equipment, pve suit maybe, extra potions etc.
