I'm pondering reactivating my acc having not played for almost a year to check out TOA and NF, I have a few questions about stuff.
1. Any guilds looking for a mentalist?
2. Are mentalists at all desired in RvR these days (I'm RR5L9 btw)?
3. Is it relatively easy to find groups for MLs and such?
4. Are artifacts really as much of a pain in the arse as people say?
5. Are spellcrafters still stupidly hard to find?
6. How easy is it to get hold of respecs? I'd probably want to switch back to my old spec (45l/28me/10ma) instead of my current spec (45l/24ma/15me).

Yo,

1. DA, cant really speak for other guilds tbh although I'm sure quite a few would take on an established player.
2. Yes and No, not in fotm groups but not all guilds run them and only them.
3. I would say its relatively easy and if the ML raid you want isnt goin gon the info on VoS is such that someone who doesnt know them well can still run a raid.
4. Some are yes, but most are just ppl whining because they actually have to do something rather then sit idle while being pl'd !! (yes I know QQ )
5. Kinda but if there is one or two in the guild you join it wont be so bad.
6. Fairly easy atm, ppl are still killing the dragon afaik.

Hope you do come back I think NF is going to be more fun for non fotm classes.

1. I have no idea, I don't think though that a player would be turned town by a non-elitist guild just on class basis.
2. I have absolutely no idea, I'm a ranger
3. In the ML raids and steps I've lead a mental is always welcome. Never had a problem there.
4. Depending on the arti really.
5. Nope.
6. Plenty of em around, you'll also have a free skill respec coming with 1.70

The class doesnt matter as long as the player is right and yes SCers are still hard to find but theres a lot of pve going around and it takes time to perfect ur char now... alot of time

In a word - no. I have a light menty and grouping was very difficult. There are many casters in game right now which means you have to often wait a while in DL etc. Still, they seem to be making a come back... Hopefulyl more so with NF coming up...

3. Is it relatively easy to find groups for MLs and such?
Fairly easy if you're able to plan in advance, not many ML groups are spontaneous

4. Are artifacts really as much of a pain in the arse as people say?
Depends on the arti, but some certainly are.

5. Are spellcrafters still stupidly hard to find?
Been looking for a few weeks, if you find one lemme know

6. How easy is it to get hold of respecs? I'd probably want to switch back to my old spec (45l/28me/10ma) instead of my current spec (45l/24ma/15me).
Respecs easy to get now, with dragon farming.
Regarding the spec, most ppl now go lvl 49/50 light, rest mana. There are specific mobs in ToA (salamanders) that are org con and are used by mentys to do everything -they're v tough mobs. Without light that high, youre gonna get resisted a lot.

Good TOA'd light mentalists are pretty viable. Fast cast speeds (near 1 sec) mean spec DD's really pound out the damage. 46 light 28 ment good spec for demezzing too. with bodyguard your survivablilty is greatly increased.

Pretty easy to get say 4-5 artifacts for menta. Lvling those is a bit of a pain.

Not hard getting them but lvling can be boring.

Due to animist dragon farming respec prices very very cheap.

1. don't know what other guilds think, TD not recruiting at all atm
2. yes. light spec casters are best dd'ers in hib. just look elwiz play. mentas are way too underestimated.
3. as easy as for any other class i guess.
4. some of them are easy, some of them are really hard.
5. there are quite a few afaik, not many taking orders for outside of their guilds.
6. there are stones for sale on CM's.
