Where do I get it, and is it free? I'd love to make a video but I am t3h br0k3.

Once I get it, IF I get it, how is it used? will I require any other hardware to run it?

Thanks.

Afuldan.

www.fraps.com around 30 euro's. (fraps 2.1 can be found cracked)
you will need a pretty good comp and loads of hdd space.
and then compress with freeware program virtualdub.

well you need a good specced pc to play with a decent fps with fraps on and it takes a lot of hdd space really, around 1 gig for a movie of 45 seconds...But of course after decompressing it goes down to 30mb.

The hdd space it requires is nothing special really. All kinds of raw video material takes a lot of space. You need at least 8-10gb free to be able to record some decent material.

One thing that I've found quite important is speed on the hdd. If you want to record full-screen with 1024*786 resolution you need a 10.000rpm hdd or else you will notice major fps loss ingame.

For most ppl its not. If you start record it will record both screens, and guess what, you think you're computer can handle 2 fraps being recorded + 2 daoc screens? No

Modern 7200 rpm disks are plenty fast enough in terms of sequential write speed for fraps.
