Questions about armour

As a paladin I have been waiting for the day I could wear plate. Now I have finally reached lvl 20 and offcourse I look for plate.
Being a paladin I want the kind of plate with gold, for example on the shoulders. Actually the same as the guards wear.
Is this not possible to buy anywhere? Is it something that drops somewhere? Is it possible at all to get it for players? I don't remember seeing anyone wearing it

And while we're talking armour I also tried to find out if I could get it crafted. I thought I had read somewhere before I bought the game that player-crafters could charge less money than the merchants and still get profit, but perhaps I got a bad memory because playercrafted armour (and weapons) is much more expensive than the merchants.
Does it only get cheaper with higher level armour...!?

You should get to Keltoi SE of Cear Ulfwych and search for Vindi Plate. They are 20-25ish armour.

Erwan, if your name in game is erwan then give Missing a shout and ill see if I have some vindi armour left in me vault, i seem to get it all the time and its useless to me...

I doubt that an armorcrafter who knows what he is doing charges more than a merchant. And even if he did, it would well be worth the added quality.
