depends what goods, but soney is pretty good overall, think I would rather go for plextor CD/DVD-writer though

Yes, most others, ie when buying a minidisk I went for an AIWA which was £50 cheaper than a comparible Sony model at the time and is still going while my mates sony carked it 1 month out of warranty.

oops, see above. Basically while they have some good stuff there is always something that does the job as good or better for less cash. (in my experience)
