Ok this got me thinking the other day. In star trek the Enterprise is supposed to be the flagship of starfleet so why is it always getting its ass kicked by the enemy, surely it should wade in blast everything to bits and fly off with 99.9% shields intact like in the battle scene in first contact.
Then in Buffy the vampire slayer (sniff sniff where for art thou) why is it Buffy will often come up against a big demon thing or an evil god that threatens mankind but still manages to scrape through and win the day but the next day maybe fighting your average vampire and still get her ass kicked and nearly get killed surely she should be more like Blade, Blade will wade through vampires like they're nothing until he gets to one with super powers.

Call me a geek if you want but soon I'll be a geek with a gun.

For dramatic effect, ignus.

And if I was getting all buffy geekish and trying to explain everything away then perhaps it's because with the big zombies she has to really concentrate and she can just about win. When fighting standard vamps she doesn't concentrate so much. If you watch the ep in s5 called checkpoint (I *think*) the one where riley fucks off (yay), you'll see that she is more than capable of kicking seven shades of shit out of about 7 vamps at once.

Well from the film, she gets "womens issues" around vampires. Like cramps.

The film is *awful*. Even Joss Whedon admits this.
