question on durability on uniques

is it true that u can't repair em anymor if dur falls to 0 while u can repair named drops?
cuz i'm building my sc on a few uniques atm :)

AFAIK you cannot repair anything when it's to 0% durability.

Problem with unique drops it's quite hard to replace (try and find the same drop again is hard), but the same goes for 'quest-items' (Bracer of Health, Bracer of Strong, Bracer of Shielding) which aren't tradeable. Also you can expect that if the ROG-drop wears down so is your armour and you need to rebuild it. Then you can choose another appropiate item anyhow.

I use 1 ROG-drop in my SC-template and until now it behaves just like any other drop. Only strange thing it has is that is has no % bonus, but that's unimportant on jewelry.

It's no problem using imo

I'd keep a handy supply full of similar unique drops incase that ever happens.

And I think you can contact mythic to restart your quest stuff if you need to redo it to get your quest items.

That's the reason why I built my 99% sc template around df jewelry and common drops. Apart from 2 resists, everything is maxed - and everything is easily replaceable. Of course if they bring in craftable jewelry then it won't matter :p

Unless you're really rich I suggest you don't.

Since the drops are unique you won't be able to find a replacement that slots into your template.

There's a lot of bitching on vn over how fast durability drops on unique items too.

Think way over the 'economical' durability of the rest of your set. I know certain peeps who did their 3rd SC-set already (due to minor improvements in their overall template with better jewelry).

The thing that's really bad on durability is my staff. I think it has to do with the spell-pulses of my runspeed or my PBT.

It's a caster thing, my staff is at 79% dur already and I don't use pulsing effects much. Just the strains of buffing and fighting tend to burn your staff out.

My mentalist is on a second set of SC, and I'll probably do a third for 1.61 or 1.62 if I cba to farm the money. ;)

Perhaps, but it's also the reason why I don't need a staff very much except for wind-skill (I designed it like that).

That way I can do temp. with a drop or something and don't loose on really important stuff.

But it sucks very bad. Necro's have it even worse btw :)

hmm well I wouldnt build sc template on uniques if you short on cash + you're doing something like mp plate where you intend to have only 1 template ever :eek:
