Question from Potential n00b!

So, a couple of months (or so) after it's release I've got a few questions that I'd like to ask :

1) Is it any good?

2) Do you not get bored of the overall pointlessness of it all? (i.e: inability to "win")

3) Is it still buggy?

4) Are the servers full and stable?



I may take a dip depending on the above. I played the Beta for a few weeks but found myself getting a tad bored sh1tless

Yes

Sometimes yes - mostly in a zerg when I feel like it wouldnt matter if I wasnt there , we would still steamroll our way in.

3) Is it still buggy?
Yes


4) Are the servers full and stable?
Full enough that there are plenty of people on Werner and semi-stable (ignoring Bugs, CTD's). There tends to be annoying DT about once a month, usually all day/half day on either Saturday or Sunday for Werner but you can always play another server.

1. I like it a lot and play most nights between 20 mins and 4 hours depending on whether the wife lets me :/

2. I don't, but accept that some people do.

3. There are minor bugs but nothing major has effected my gameplay since the last patch except for a single CTD.

4. Werner is pretty much full. Certainly you can find action within a couple of mins of joining when you know what you're doing.

The server is stable in that it hasn't crashed in ages (while i've been on it anyway). There was an issue with SOE logon server last night for about 15 mins though which affected everyone and was quickly resolved. Also, last saturday saw a downtime of 10 hours for werner, but no one knows why - could just have been someone pulled a plug out ???

1) Yes

2) No, you make it as interesting as you want it to be. Follow the zerg it can be pointless, follow your own / squad objectives then it can be a load o' fun.

3) No, some little quirks pop up now and again but it's generally sorted now. Granted the first month was too buggy for a release game. (current bugs happened to me in last week...fell through floor in hart centre to my death, lasher fire graphics are bugged and sometimes disappear altogether, I get killed too often )

4) Not packed full but highly populated at peak times (werner was at 4 bubs at 11:00 to 1:00 last night). Server resets only happen once or twice a fortnight in my experience (maybe thats too often?).

As for the saturday patch whiners..
SOE - " Ok the latest patch is ready but we'll wait till Monday so we don't disrupt your weekends gaming"
Whiners - "whinge whinge we want it now SOE suck etc etc."

SOE - "Ok the latest patch is ready and were gonna do it asap which means today (saturday)"
Whiners - "whinge whinge cry cry spoiling my weekends gaming SOE suck etc etc.."

Result = SOE can't get it right however hard they try as the whiners will always find something to complain about.

Great game - fun level depends on the outfit you're in, though imo.

I can't really complain about the zerg - it's a MMOFPS after all and mass battles have a great Starship Troopers feeling to them (VS being the bugs, of course...).

Considering the "age" of the game the bugs are neglectable... it depends on your personal patience level, I guess.

And Werner is full every night I log on - had some great battles going on lately.

1- Yes

2- Sometimes, but then i simply play something else or go out.

3- Yes, but not buggy in an EvE style of buggy, there are just a few minor quirks.

4- Never seen werner full yet, and yes its very stable now.
