Question for "viking" classes who waited to 50 for epics

I got an, I hope, simple question

During the viking epic, there is a step where you have to visit the dverge smith. Unless they changed it, dverges are still aggro till you kill skellies, right?

My question is: Can you do the dverge smith step at level 50?

I'm thinking that he might be grey at 50, but I dunno if you can talk to him if he's aggro.

i know i did it at 50, cant remember whether or not he was aggro or grey, but i did do it at lvl 50

First i dont understand people not doin epic, well atleast up to 40 Such a nice weapon that one.

I dont think faction is of any importance here since its the jewel and the axe that triggers the smith to talk to you, first you wear the jewel kill the spirit at the fire giant, then you wield the axe. Who tells you to take it to the dverges. And after that i just handed the axe then the jewel over to the dverge smith that was standing at the forge and that was it. And what was strange was some dverges where aggro some where neutral, Hroderk was even friendly. He is a nice otd btw lvl 25
