question bout grapple

been using it quite a while now, and i've noticed a few times now that some peepz could keep meleeing me even tho i grappled one of their m8s.

afaik that shouldn't be possible or did i missread something?

Are they usually Mids that it doesnt work on? If so its a cheating tosser using the 28 buff bug that is "working as intended" according to some morons on this forum. But /dives for cover........ i could be wrong.

I may have mis-understood question, but grapple is just an insta root. If you are close enough to a grappled tank he can still melee you (i think).

Grappled targets aint supposed to be able to melee.
But the grappler can be meleed, as you get stunned when grappling

the guy you grapple wont be able to use melee attacks, nor can he get attacked by melee.

you however, are perfectly able to get ganked in melee by his friends

hmm, ok thanks guys, brought some light into this, always thoguth the grappler and the grappled can't be meleed, as i noticed this from own experience, while fighting 2SBs for example: grappled one and the other couldn't melee me, and thats how i thought it should work :wub:

You can be hit in melee anyways, but however... if you have a stun immunity up (mincer stun, stun off style etc.) you can grapple people and still being able to move/hit back.
CB stun feedback might work aswell (unsure about that) in that case you may only grapple once and move around

yep noticed that aswell, quite handy

started grappling peepz for fun when i get by a fg, they had only one tank on me and stunned me befor, grappled him and even nearly got away from the grp took em a few secs to realise what happened

Afaik you wont get immunity to grapple after you've been grappled first time, atleast i had that experience If that's the case I'd think i'll be a bug abuse since the stun is a part og the ability

Yes, but its working as intended.
If a cleric/healer/mincer whatnot stuns you, and it wears off, you will be immune to the self grapple effect... for 1 minute that is

Case scenario:

I run abouts in HW and slammed by paladin. The paladin sits down and laughs at me (roleplaying one) then starts spamming more roleplay macros (i cant read em ofc)
When the stun wears off, I grapple the paladin, I'm now free to move for 1 minute and chain grapple stuff until the stun immunity timer wears off.

There is - stun immunity or ceremonial bracers (the latter for one grapple only though).

No. Grapple itself doesn't give stun immunity.

if u (X) grapple some1 (Y) .. then the Y cant do shit (he is stunned) - X is stunned also. But other enemies can hit X and no1 from ur realm cant attack with melee Y.

There are some buts. If enemy tank has 28 buffs or more - u cant grapple him, caus he has 2 many effects.
If some1 slams u, or insta stuns u - u get stun immunity - with that immunity u cant get stunned when u grapple .. u grapple and can still move arround (but the enemy u grapple will be stunned)
CB stun feedback helps also, but only for 1 time.

so Jika, if a bm infil grapples a bm ranger, who grapples a scout, and the nightshade sidestun the ministrel, while another ministrel stuns the ranger, and then another ranger jump in and grapple the infil..

pretty nice stuffs there, thought of a perfect way to abuse it now formyself, as i'll prolly be able to shoot the one i grappled myself then.
purge stun/wait for it to wear off if target is doing gimped dmg, gwapple, shoot, dead, all happy

ive sometimes grappled a tank and while im not able to do anything the one i grappled runs off and im standing there like wtf???
