Question about your campaign.

Just wondered if you guys had seen much more of this so called campaign.

We Mids keep reading ours, and are left with a load of cryptic clap trap, that seems to not relate to anything.

Only once to date have we seen actual evidence that GOA has done anything, and we are starting to go right off the idea.

Just be nice to campare notes.

Well much of the Hib Campaign seems to be based around the legend of Nuada and his mythical Silver Hand. It seems that 'invaders' are searching for the vein of silver from which the hand was forged, which resulted in the recent acquisition of Spraggon Den by slavers.

The problem with these campaigns is that they are running on all servers, and there is no one definite outcome that can be predicted, so each storyline has multiple paths leading off from it, which makes GOA's job that little bit harder.

The clearing of Spraggon Den on Wednesday, and next step in our campaign, was one I had been waiting for, for ages, and I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time when it kicked off. On othere servers the outcome was different so maybe they hadn't had to free Fred.

Well, we have been getting the same sort of things as you - little clues, strange NPCs popping up, little mini-events where a NPC will show up, interact for a while, drop a clue or two, and then disappear. But so far the biggest of the campaign events (that have taken place on all servers) was the Geersha/stranger invasion which only affected Albion and Hibernia. We got that one, had a couple of weeks to try and figure out what was going on, and then last Wednesday we got a medium sized event that involved clearing Spraggon Den and we learned some more about the strangers. So I think the campaign has been quite acceptable so far - I think it makes our servers that much more fun and interesting to play on than the US servers. It does look like Midgard has not yet had its turn, so it's probably normal that you are feeling a bit short changed at the moment, but if I were you I'd be expecting something to pop up soon. ;)

We too had the Gersha thing, sorted out in about 10 minutes, but to what end, it seemed to acheive nothing.

We got drops from it too, spell scrolls you cant sell or equip, neckalces you cant sell or wear, books you cant sell or read. Whats the point of that?

At first I was enticed to trudge around Midgard admiring the 8 NPCs that had appeared, but none of them could talk, so fat lot of use they were. "XXXXXXX is unable to speak" aint very useful, then the gershas appeared in Gotar, we killed em in 10 mins and the NPCs all vanished.

Since then all we get is some drivel that sends us to the four corners of our frontiers looking for mobs and NCPs that dont exist.

Considering the length of time this has been over, theres extreemly little to show for it. And Im sure with the advent of 1.52 and PvP we will see even less till its forgotten.
