question about teaching

would it be wrong to charge ppl for teaching them skills ?

since im already on farstar & advancing & theres no1 to teach from & trainers cost me loads of cash, i thought about charging 500 creds/skill i teach till i retrieved all the money i spent on trainers

not fair to have to pay everything just coz ure first imo

it really depends on how many people can teach what people want and how many need teaching those skills.

Lots of teachers & not many need teaching = no money as people will find people to teach them for free if the teachers needs apprentice exp.

Not many teachers & lots want teaching, charge them, nothing wrong with charging.

A lot of servers learning skills of another player is free due to more higher skilled people all fighting for apprentice exp, so get money for it while you can.

I never charge for teaching anything, but if your desperate for cash or just a tight git then charge away, if someone dosnt like it then they will just look elsewhere.

neither do i - but ill need like 40k creds to get to master (if its 1k for first, 2k for second etc etc)

if there was ppl to teach from id do it free of charge, but it sucks to pay 40k for 1 master skill only & then teach away without ever retrieving the money - thought about charging till i get the money i spent on trainers back & from then on do it for free

Thats what i did bought all but three of my boxs (mastered over five profession in total) and trained 100's of people without ever charging, a lot of the time people will /tip you anyway.

But no its not wrong to charge people, you can play the game however you like, and if i was really really short on cash at the time i think i would charge a bit aswell.

In short, do whatever you want the worst they can say is no

I dont understand the people paying for someone to learn fdrom them.
I started teaching when I got my first skill and before my first master I was capped. Been ever since too.

can someone explain me what this apprentice xp is & where u can see how much u have & what it does etc

You need 620 apprentice xp to master a profession

you only get it by teaching other players

you will find most people dont charge for training if they are standing around the starports... and most wont charge for any of the basic profession skills!

But so far i have tiped everyone who's trained me 500-1000 credits depending on the skill... one guy even tipped me back an extra 5K
