question about SC

afther patch i did sc on lvl51 MP bow 5 overcharge
stats on bow 6bow,6stealth,normaly i use 99gems but at 2 first try i have 2 mp gems.i thought i most be lucky today.but it want last for long happyness,it blows?verry weird thought.
are there any other people who think afther patch its verry risky to ambue 5 OC?

5pt overcharge with 2 gems is risky bordering stupid.

Throw in another 2 gems, cheapest imbue points cost possible next time.

What he said. Didn't read your post coorectly, thread starter. Never attempt overcharge with less than 4 gems on item.

if you only use 2 gems, daoc will see the imbue as this, asuming u use 2 99% gems

gem1 99%
gem2 99%
gem3 94%
gem4 94%

if no gem is added, the engine "replaces" the empty space with 94% gems

Well thats one way of describing it Bellona.

Each point of quality over 94% gives a bonus to chance of success.

So if your using 4 99% gems: Thats 20 little bonuses
2 99% gems: Your additional chance of success is halfed - 10.

Nothing is "replacing" it with 94% gems, theres just no bonus gained from empty space.

ok thx my mistake.
i did it befor to use 2 gems on item no overcharge it works, didnt stand still about it with overcharge 2 empty slots it will blow.
its scary afther some many sc'ing stuff i was thinking at to do with new patch it blows more ofthen then befor with 5 OC.
