Question about Eirene's Hauberk

Hey, I've lately been trying to locate Linos, the mob that (has a chance of) dropping this artifact. Problem is, this guy stays spawned for a short period of time only and then disappears. My question is, has anyone seen any system in where/when he spawns? And has anyone found a way to keep him occupied till you can get a grp together? been thinking of trying to attack him, let someone not in grp with you rezz, and keep on doing that till you get a decent grp together to take him down, tho I don't wanna waste those Idols I've gotten hold of on a hopeless attempt and then start farming those again.
Any tips/help would be appreciated :wub:

Here's the strategy that we've used to find Linos. The story on the scrolls says how to find Linos. It says that the guy was doing a trial that he so frequently does, when (Linos) comes out of nowhere and attacks him. At first we thought that it would be the solo step for ML1, but you can't repeat that once you're done. The next thing we thought of was the thieves step: it's repeatable when you're done, soloable, and it's in Meso. So we tested out the theory, we spawned the thieves, killed them both, and put scouts up at teach of the locations. Within 30 minutes of the death of the thieves, Linos spawned at one of the locations listed. This worked 14/15 times.

Somebody reported on VoS (www.visionofsages.net) that if you kill the 2 thieves from the ML1 step, he will pop within 30 mins.

As for keeping him up, after u give him the key he will stay for a further 10 minutes.
