Questin to GOA

Recently Lochlyessa had her char deleted when someone hacked her account, she told GOA and was told there's nothing they can do about it...... after a general public BW post she got her char back. Another friend of mine, had his lvl 50 skald deleted a while back... he contacted GOA .. nothing they could do about it, a post on these forums arrised and wella he got his char back.

My question is, wtf is going on? Either you can or you cant do it? If you can why are you saying to people, we cant help you, then when the public get involved suddenly you can? My guess is this is the same as - If we do it for one we do it for all, now correct me if I'm wrong, esp. with the recent up in prices, we are actualy PAYING you to help us and suuport us? It's really annoying because it's totally obviouse you can help when you help 1 person here and there, but a long while back when I had my char deleted, before my new ones, I couldn't get him back, but I didnt know many people and GOA - Couldn't help me.

So please explain what exactly is going on here.

It's not all bad tho GJ with Prydwen, it seems to be running smoother than ever.

i think they dont restore it if they see the account has been used by more ppl, not saying your friend has but thats how it seems goa handles it .

A couple of months ago they did not have the new character restore system that they can currently use (not in all cases though).

And Lochlyessa emailed Kemor directly afaik...

On a side note Loch got her Subs password changed, the RightNow response is that they will never do it <repositions Kemor as head of RightNow>

Im confused too and agree with Pudz on this one.

I mean, Brannor had his sub pass changed, yet its not possible under ANY circumstances for anyone else?

I mean what the heck is going on, can they or can't they?

I think the GMs can, I dont think RightNow team have access to a system that will let them change it. And its probably due to company policy which is decided by the managers :rolleyes:

WTF !!! Are you playing the same Prydwen as me. Laggy as fuck. server crashes when all 3 realms in the same place. Massive population imbalance. ??? :confused:

They do - i know 1 midd who was playing Lochlyessa account on 1.52 ......

What we can and cannot do changes with patches, just like what you guys can and can't do changes. Back in 1.36, you couldn't spellcraft, now you can. MMORPGs are not static games, they change all the time, patches after patches, both for players and the ones working behind the mirror.
We had more and more people with characters pushed out of the 4 deleted chars limit, we checked if we could do something to help out, took us a week or so to test it and we found that we could, to some extend.
Can be happy for the ones we can restore, or blame us for the ones we can't; all depends on how you see things. We do not delete characters, just trying to give the best service possible.

Still not given an answer.

Why change some peoples sub pass word and refuse others when you say under no circumstances will you change the sub pass word?

Why restore so peoples deleted characters and not others?

Make your mind up, you expect us to pay more and you mess us about more?

Yes, still no answer from GOA. I know several people that wishes to change their account passwords, mailing images of their cd keys and all the info GOA needs to see that the account is their own (i.e not sold) but still they ignore it.

So an answer to this is needed: We know you can do it GOA, but why are you ignoring some, but not other?

There is no answer, the thing is: GOA have rules, and they have rules for a reason, but remember that the one who answers your requests/questions on RightNow is just a person too, and not a robot. A simple sub pass change request of course, will just be rejected. But when there's something wrong definately, that guy from the customer service has a heart too, and will want to help you when you need it.

I don't know if this is clear, but this is how i look at it.

Dura lex, seda lex? So even if rules makes a PAYING customer unhappy, live with it?

If that's the case, i see no future for that kind of company. We are paying, not only for playing, but for secure and reliable service. Not for non-existent encryption of passwords for example, not for spamming the login button (the SI disaster).

I have not this kind of problem, but 2 IRL friends have, and i suffer with them, and i have to say that the replys GOA are sending them are somewhat......strange. They are not answering, just avoiding the issue.

I urge them to help them, not ignoring them. Why should they pay for a non-existent customerservice?

Kemor thx for taking the time to answer..think its ok you not more speccific..no need to tell the mofu hacking bastards that they have to make xxx chars and delete em to do there foul work now
