Query about Derida's mod.

Hiya all.

I recently started using Darida's interface for daoc and found it excellent except for 2 rather annoying problems

1) I can't look at items anymore, when I right click them the little box with there data doesn't show, and right click + shift and I doesn't seem to work either.

2) If I press shift, instead of being able to type in capitals or the alternative symbols on certain keys it returns me to the beginning of the sentence. for example if I typed "omg i died :<" it would take me back to the beginning of the sentence so it instead said ":<omg i died"

Anyone know how to fix these problems? Cheers.

The OMG problem requires you to reboot your PC

It's a Clientside error - Nothing a patch/hotfix can do sadly :/ - not sure about the other.

try reinstalling the mod, virtually our whole guild uses the mod and hasnt encountered any of these problems. Are you using the new updated version (v1.50)?

IM also using the mod and have a problem when i get a pop up in the background it changed my resolution with was ok, as clicking on daoc on the hotbar all came back....except the character info box was halfway across the screen and in deridas there is no handle to drag the bax back to the corner of the screen.

Anyone come up with a fix for this? ive tried changing resolution in daoc (frontend) and logging back in to try to rejustify the info box but no joy.

any help appreciated.

i use derida's without any problems, try deleting your custom directory under UI directory and copying back over - you may have had an old one in there

Not sure about the 1st problem, maybe try installing it again.

2nd one happens now and again, though i thought it had been fixed now, the only way to sort it out is a reboot.

You can move the character info box by holding in shift when dragging it

You dont have to reboot your comp. to fix this.
Just slam/press all the shifts, ctrl, alt, alt gr, and caps lock, to be extra sure i also presses windows buttons.
Ofcuz dont press them all at once, but 1 at a time.
This usually fixes it for me.

Just to let you know I managed to fix BOTH problems with a simple reboot. Next time I'll try that before making a thread.

Well, another problem. Whilst trying to fix my resolution I stumbled across a rather annoying problem.

Basically my desktop's resolution is 1024x768 and DAoC is running in 800x600 so that I can see the entire screen...the problem is when I go to a merchant and get his page popup with items, horse tickets or whatever, I can't see the buy/sell/appraise buttons. Basically I am unable to buy new armour or travel anywhere as I can't accept to buy the stuff! This is with Deridas mob. Please does anyone have a fix for this?

i take it when you configered deridas, you chose to have the extended 30 items merchent window, re-configure deridas to have normal merchant window and you will be fine.

Problem 2 is because your 'home' button is stuck. Shift+home returns the chat cursor to the beginning of the line so freeing up your home key will sort that problem out.
