Woah didnt know till i read this, hope i reach that age, and im so sorry but i felt more upset when i heard about Spike and Dudley dying, sorry but thats just me.

Aye, 'tis the first I've heard of this. Just turned the radio on this second for confirmation. Sad news? I say respect to her; she had a good, long life, and it's good that it didn't end badly.

It is NOT sad. All 5 channels dedicated to some dead old woman IS sad.

A death in *any* family is not a happy occasion.

If you don't like the royal family, fine. It's no skin off my nose.

However, I do happen to - they:

A) Bring a sense of distinctiveness to this country (stops us being a small version of America).

B) Champion good causes that the government can't be arsed to.

C) Bring bucketloads of *MONEY* to this country. Estimated at 2.5 billion per annum (and higher).


I suspect you're too young to have respect for that.

I, for one, feel sorry for them.

I'm not exactly the royal family's biggest fan, but I think it must be a bit hard for the Queen having lost her sister and her mother over a matter of moths, some golden jubilee year this is turning out to be.

Death is always sad, but she was past her expire date tbh. The irony is that her daughter died before she did.

Whoop, flamewar in a thead like this. Could only happen here. I know it's a loss but I don't really find it sad at all either though. She was over the hill and kept up for a long time; she deserved a rest. Sure she'll be missed, but with a smile at that... basically it was nearing her time and was hardly a premature nor unexpected death. Sorry if I sound heartless; do I?

No i agree with you xenon, she seemed a rum old girl, and when someone said about her daughter dying and stuff it made me think that it must be hard on the queen, i just cant seem to find a connection with the royals, they seem on another planet.R.I.P anyway old timer:(

looks like it got really fucked from this moring when they ( the isralites) invaded arafats headquaters.

Can some one tell me why there fighting again, i forgot.

But I think the European Empire should take over and turn the whole place in a european waste disposal area for our waste, etc...
