Quake (all versions) Map Editors....

I am looking to create my own DM maps for Quake (the first one to start off with), I have been playing Quake for a few years now and want to get into creating maps. What editor, tutorial, and stuff would you suggest I use?

I don't make many maps (and none that I'd want to release for general consumption), but I found BSP pretty easy to use:

Not sure if development on it is ongoing though so maybe not the best bet for Q3 etc .. (just thought I'd pass the URL on basically)
