Quake 3 and Matrox G400

let me say first, q3 rocks!

okay, now on the the rant. anyone have the Matrox Millenium G400 Dualhead Max running on win98? i am having issues with starting q3 with this config. i am running on a Dell P3 with 256 MEG o Ram and 2 21 inch monitors(in single monitor mode). q3 normally tries to start and then the screen will go white. or it will flash and not display anything but flashing white. normally this results in a lockup as well.

okay, i have trouble shot this some more and i think i have figured out the problem.

it looks like if you are using a matrox g400 in dualhead mode(dual monitors) then you MUST disable dualhead mode in the display properties and restart before playing q3. doesn't that just suck? oh well, that is the ONLY way i have gotten around the issue and have q3 work consistantly. if anyone else has a better fix that doesn't require a restart PLEASE let me know.
