I mean new textures - better colours, high res.

Any new textures out there?

Any tweaks to make q2 look lovely? (I know of all the cfg settings I think)

Don't like FSAA mind you.

'fraid not, Q2 is old and looks shit, that's just the way it is.

Play QW for an hour or so, when you come back to Q2 you'll be amazed at the incredible levels of detail

Hi,
Yep - d/l the Pak 7 - it makes q2 way more fun (I play every day, and did not know it could be improved upon). This is not a cheat, btw, it just changes the way q2 looks - makes it less bland (some of the maps are a bit dull in the 'normal' q2).

I gave it a try last night. The textures make a nice change, not sure about the sounds though.

Hi,

I agree about one of the sounds! I play Freeze Tag, and every time a team wins I hear "Who's yer daddy, who's yer daaaaaddy?" Which was funny for the first half an hour, but gets a bit much after playing for a few days! Any idea how to turn it off?

Other than that it's a great pak file, and has made the game fun Try the edge and Warehouse - great changes to them both!

Open the PAK with either QPED or PAK Explorer and delete whichever sound it is that's been modified. Then it will just use the standard one.
