Quake 2 CTF console commands

Howdy folks. When running a quake 2 server at work for massive CTF frag fests, sometimes I need to even the teams up a bit. (We sometimes use bots to even out the teams.) How can I force a team change from the console?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think you can force a team change during a game (I could be wrong but I've never seen anything saying that this is possible).

I'm not sure, but I don't think you can set an option to force even teams when connecting using id ctf, either, although maybe force-join will do that?

However, plenty of bots (certainly the erazor) will auto-even the teams, but you'll need to look in the bot documentation for details of how to do that.

Best bet would be set the bot you're using to keep the teams level.

Sound advice from simbobx. The only way to control teams in CTF is to set :

DF_CTF_FORCEJOIN 131072

: (the number is the dmflags value), or use sommit like Eraser...
