Q3f-Keep getting disconnected

The past few weeks I have been having a terrible time trying to play Q3f. I play for a while then get disconnected. The game restarts and then hangs. I have a P3 800 ASUS CUSL2 MB, 256 Megs PC133 SDRAM, ASUS V7700 Gerforce2 GTS and have a cable modem. I suspect it is a problem with my cable modem/isp. I have varied the rate in the game from 25000 to 9000 to less. No matter what setting I use the problem persists. What's funny so far it only happens in Q3f. I play Q3 DM or Team Arena or Alliance online..No Problem. Only occurs in Q3f. Tried several servers...still persists. It seems to happen alot when I try to perform multiple tasks at once,like moving, shooting and releasing a grenade.
This has happened when connecting games using Gamespy and through the games own internet server search.

Can anyone PLEASE help...It is really frustrating cause I love playing soooo much...Thx

d/load the full latest version of the mod from here ftp://ftp.barrysworld.com/quake3/mods/q3fortress/q3f_beta1g_full.zip

then ofcourse install it

it fixed my probs ,and yes i gota a cm to

Thx Yaka.... am doing it now. Not sure what difference it will make. I am running the beta1 "g" version now. I sure hope it helps and THANKS! for the help..damn that was fast!

Problem Still Persists

Disconnect..the saga continues

Hey Yaka... Yeah I know..running 1.17....still have this problem..it is really bad..i am so pissed..i might have to give up q3f..bummer cause I really love it...don't know what is so different about q3f that causes this problem..other mods work...oh well..hopeless..I even emailed the q3f folks..they never replied..kinda figured they wouldn't..i am sure they get way too many emails..ths anyway

Check your mouse.

I had a cheat PS2 mouse I used to rebuild my trackball with. This cuased my PC to crash when I did anything fast in q3f. Like running up the stairs from the water in 2forts2. FPS would get all jerky, sound would go funny. I replace the guts of my trackball with a microsoft wheel mouse and all was well again.

Thx covert..I will try another mouse, but I am currently using a Microsoft Wheelmouse (PS2). It came with my new computer. I do have a Microsoft optical mouse on my old computer that I will try. Not sure that will do it but I will try anything at this point ..and thx for your time and reply.
