Q3 locks up one one pc in LAN game !!

Could anyone help ?
Q3 seems to lock up on one outta 2 PC`s?
Both running v1.11 quake
connected to a 5 port mini-hub
the only way out seems to be reset the hung pc ( same pc all the time)
both are p3 systems.

Hangs in new Q3 installs are most likely to be due to graphics card drivers. What graphics cards do these PCs have?

Make sure you have the latest drivers, oh and also upgrade to the latest offical Q3 release (1.17)

Some older versions of Q3 had a rather broken network layer somewhere (not sure exactly where) which would cause a machine to hang when connecting over lan.

My general solution to this problem was to run the server on the machine that would hang and connect from the other machine.

I think this bug is now fixed anyway, so as FlameTop says, grab 1.17 and install it.
