Q3 connection problems

I've got a big problem with Q3! When I play it over my LAN, the others can't join the server! I used to work, but somehow now it doesn't

When I set up a server on the LAN (which functions fine, besides Q3), the others can see my server, but when they join me, they get thrown back to the main menu! And all I can see (on the server) is: "person connected", "person disconnected". So it seems to work to a certain point, but I can't actually play!

Does anyone know what to do? Any suggestions are welcome!

No, it's turned on because I want to play myself too.

I sure hope someone can provide me with a solution because I'm playing UT now instead, which I dont like as much as Q3...
