Right, the Q2BattleUK Quake 2 league has just finished it's first season.
I am not the first to say that we cocked it up in places.
I am proud to say that it wont happen again.
Results will (admins permitting) be up to date, as and when they happen using some fancy website stuff... we were ment to have it for season 1, but hey, we're not starting season 2 until it's ready.
Now, to my plea.
The *other* cock up in the league was down to a large quantity of admins leaving us during the season, leading to the embarressing situation of not having enough to cover games, and near the end of the season, we were left with games going unattended.
We are now going to start a mass recruitment campain for admins for season 2.
Basically, experience woudl be nice, the knowledge of server commands for Quake 2 teamplay is required, and if we don't have to teach you then all the better.
You don't have to take a "decision making" role in the league at all, though obviously your voice will be listened to should you wish to be heard, but what we are looking for is people who can turn up for no more than two gours on either a saturday afternoon, sunday afternoon, or Tuesday evening and admin some games.
no knowledge of websites is required for entering results (if you can reply to this post using the box and buttons provided then you will be fine)
If there are peeps out there that would be intrested in taking a more "involved" role in the league, then we will listen, we coudl do with some more league admins, but that is not what this post is about.
