Q2 Jerky Demos

Lo there, i'm having problems with my demos that i take, in that they are shit. No, not cause i'm shit (well at least thats not the problem) but because they are really jerky, even tho' played the match at 70+ fps. (P2-400, v2 128mb ram). Other d00ds demos run fine, just the ones i take.

My modem connection averages 110-200ping.

Any ideas ?

Nope but it also happens to me and I'm on ISDN

So I dont think 'ping' enters into it ... :-/

Think it could be a disk problem.

what are your HDD drives.. eg make.


some HHD's dont have much cache to play with.

or it could be a windows higher memory problem.

usefull tip nothing to do with demos.

takes 2 locations from where your mouse is going and enters a new point in the middle.

extra smooth.

Yeah, this happens to me too.

But only when grappling somewhere or moving quite quickly (strafe jumping sometimes does this).

Smooth as a babies bottom all other times, including watching other people's demos.
