Q. About Windowed Screen Mode

I have a rather bizzare problem and it dosnt seem to effect anyone else ive spoken to except me.

I used to use DaoX(norty me) and run in windowed mode everything was fine.
Now i run SI in Official Windowed mode (1024x???) res but my window cannot be Set to fit screen just minimize/maximize. THis means the window coveres everything and i cant get to my Start button and Shortcuts and Sys Tray without minimizing the whole game. THe window also cannot be resized it is 1024 no matter what.

anyone got any ideas? Im USing Win XP, i was thinking its maybe something ive done to the OS itself but nothing comes to mind.

u tried playing it maximised and pressing Windows key?
That should give u the start menu/start bar hmmmm all i can think off atm in an exam

It's to do with the size of your desktop too. Your desktop size needs to be smaller than your resolution in game.

Eg my desktop is 1152x864 and DAoC resolution is 1024x768.

This is bloody annoying!

I have found that by moving the window up as far as I can then clicking on the taskbar, the bar from then on will be ontop.

katzeyez: right click on taskbar, Taskbar Properties, deselect "Always on top".

Also, check the taskbar is set to "Auto-hide"
