PVP thoughts after ?

Well I thought this would make a good interesting post for a change. Now that PVP has come, and gone for many of us, what do you think?

my opinion:

I love the idea of xping ANYWHERE grouping with ANY CLASS/RACE and fighting huge battles guild vs guild. What has come to my atention is if you dont hit a high enough lvl in the first 2 - 3 days... frankly you may aswell quit, if your soloing past 10 its an absolute nightmare, half of the players and guilds are only there to KoS everyone nomatter what con. PVP yep but for me it has no community spirit and no general goal, you'll see someone your con when ya 10+ and always on ya mind are they gona hit you, or should you hit them, I was a caster so by the time they hit me it was frankly too late, luckily i had SOME fun, its funny when a small guild owns you and then you get blej, sin, dettox and co come from nowhere to the rescue and beat them all shitless . Maybe when the server settles there might be a formed community, when people arent desperate to lvl or get cash. But right now PVP is'nt what I want, I'll stick to my RvR .

Well,

I went to pvp, got to 16 with my hero, but doubt I will be playing him much more for the time being.

As you already stated so nicely, the concept of xping ANYWHERE grouping with ANY CLASS/RACE is brilliant, I liked that alot too.

My main issue with the PvP server is, that it really shows the gimpage of rvr versus level. If you can't put in a solid 10 hrs+ a day you can pretty much expect to be ganked by any and everyone, so everyone is really fixed on getting those levels, which imo pretty much destroys the game for me. Don't get me wrong, I love to do the occasional PL'ing, and will probably end up building up a Hero on pryd or excal over the upcomming holidays.

But the whole level and exp gaining issues are blown too far out of proportion for me on pvp atm. The lower levels whine if they can't get in a highlvl group for some serious PL, and then the high ones whine because the lower guys kill the exp. In the end there are alot of pretty retarded and often quite selfish discussions, and as much as I like the concept of the pvp server, as much will the consequences it has to the way I enjoy playing, keep me from playing there. Perhaps I should focus on exploring the last realm I have yet to explore, namely Hibernia. And then keep an eye on how the coop server develops in the US.
