Hi everybody!

I was wondering if this game is PvE friendly? IE can i play the game for the PvE content without getting sick and tired?

Depends what gets you sick and tired really.

Some people get bored, some don't, some say "too little quests" some say carnage rules etc.

Objectively i can say, when you level for 80 or so levels, you're bound to get bored and get many similar quests and/or grindfests, but if you do it in moderation and take your time, you should be ok.

since you actually have to decide what to do in fights and not just stand there auto attack it makes it very fun. i have no problems yet (lvl 35 now) with questing or grinding mobs. is alot of fun and good variety, has enough for all tastes. just like to see the banks finished and guild city plus sieges.

Can't wait to play it then :)

I'm also abit of a lootwhore, how are the items in the game?
Are there random drops from mobs or only bosses? Do bosses drop special loot? Do they look just like every other weapon or do they have distinct features?

If you like rading you ll be happy to know that there are 2 or 3 (cant remember by heart) full raid instances already in the game. However raiding is turned off ATM, but they are working on it...whatever that means.

Most dungeons come in "normal" and "epic" difficulty. "Epic" has a higher chance to drop more and better loot, but the mobs have much more HPs and hit harder.

So far there arent enough lvl 80s (especially after the ban-zerg) to do PvE raiding to reverse engineer the drop-tables. Give it time. I am certain you ll find a thottbotish list soon enough.

The blue drops (green == good items, blue == very good items and rumors of purple == even better items) I ve seen so far dont have a different graphics set. So far it seems that the color improves the item level of the item (the old WoW strategy) thus making it stronger.

My guy is currently equipped only with blue rings, everything else is green.

Epic is tough as hell from the little bits I've seen of it.

Thats great news!
How many people do you need for the epic mode?
And also can you solo a normal instance if you'r class can manage this?

Most quests are solo-able, although some towards the end of any area will have a little icon with 3 people beside them in your journal which means it's recommended to be done in a group.

A group of 4 (I think) of us cleared a dungeon on normal mode and then gave it a try on epic. We were around the appropriate levels for it; we took down 1 mob and it took a fair amount of time to do that much. Something to be considered at a later date I feel.

All quests also come with a difficulty metre relative to your current level. From grey (irrelevant), green, yellow, orange, red (hardest).

The epic is fun, in my opinion again.

Noob player, click on epic, wonder why the hell this quest is so hard, finish it eventually and then learn "oooh..." :D

Could say "Real Men Epic", but that would be a bit corny.

So, what do you get by going into an "epic" zone? More exp for the ridiculously hard mobs or? Any other benefits?

Better loot, more exp(i think, never watched my exp gain), more "fun" if you like 'ard things :D

Though, epic quests with a necromancer are just suicidal maniacs...

How is the community?
Are people more PvP oriented on Dragon?

Hard to tell without rolling up alts on the other PvE servers. However due to the big amount of oldschool DAoCers the chances of getting decent PvP are good I suppose.
