Purchasing CD-Keys online?

Someone said something about being able to purchase a CD-Key online, and just download the game. Any one have any details?

My preorder disc hasn't arrived, and it's prelaunch day. I'm not going to let myself hope that the retail version will arrive within a week

Was the download ~ahem~ legal and if so, where can I get it? I would like to try out this game but don't want to have to wait a week or more to get it.

You got to download the game if you were playing the beta... but you still need a CD-Key to make it work

This is the same mechanism they are using for Lineage 2, though the announcement for CoH came *much* later.

But is this only for beta people or can us plebs buy the cd-keys online and dl the game client from somewhere (although I suspect the latter would be fairly easy to do regardless)?

The key words are "we will be offering", so it looks like it will be coming soon.

NCSoft announced the same for Lineage2. Sad taht they haven't simply shipped a large box load to amazon.co.uk. would be good as well if they would send e-mail version of rules to those that have to order on-line.

I just used an ftp client to download it. Downloaded @ 112kb/s which is pretty good on release day

I bought a key online and installed it from a friends copy, but the option seems to have dissapeared now and I know a few people who are keen to get keys. Anyone know why?

i downloaded key 2 weeks ago.

today i finally got the game by mail. box is neat and manual is way way better than the DAOC one. this is a real manual with explanations about all powers etc....

costs more than DAOCs too as a matter of fact

now i got 2 keys. got to get my girl to play with me somehow
