PSP Media Manager

Sony have released a new handy piece of software for the Playstation Portable. The Media Manager includes a drag-and-drop interface and thumbnail previews for quick easy file access, including an option for backing up files. Supported file types include jpeg, mp4, avi, mpeg, wav and wma.

A downloadable option is on sale now upon the Sony website for £19.95. A boxed version will be released in early December for £29.95.

I can't believe they're charging for this. Its in their interest to make PSP a credible alternative to other portable devices (iPods and media players) and then they do this...bizarre.

I got that from the Jap website ages ago, it works well with the PSP, though it has some video issues when it comes to converting Quicktime files to MP4, though they prolly fixed that with this release.

Seems that it doesn't do much mroe than a few free apps could do.

Good for the unwashed masses without a clue though.
