In short, the normal ones are shite for racing games where you use them as throttle for long periods.

Uh,

What's wrong with the normal ones?

People use the 360 triggers and then assume the PS3 ones should behave the same way. This usually means they pull back on them with the grip of a titan and their fingers somehow slip off. They then proceed to whine on the nearest relevant forum about how the PS3 'triggers' (which are not triggers you fucking retard spacks) suck.

So basically, nothing.

everything you write is super embarrasing, do you do anything other than bum your ps3? i have a ps3, i dont like the back buttons so much, neither did my brother (who still plays his ps2 all the time) big deal, these things look alrite, not much into racing games anyway though so wont bother

Just as I thought.

embarrasing that you get offended by someone saying they're not happy with their ps3 and have to go straight to something about the 360 =o

FAIL :twak:

1) I was and am not offended.
2) I never said anything bad about the 360. I said people were used to the 360's triggers.

You called us retards for not agreeing with your opinion, pretty silly. Just because we disagree doesn't make us wrong, it doesn't make us right either and it certainly doesn't make us retards. Likewise they might not be 'triggers' per-se but a number of games treat them as such and benefit hugely from the addon 'triggers'. At the end of the day it isn't worth arguing about, either you like them or you don't, each to thier own.

Now I'm calling you a retard for getting it completely wrong. Here is what I really said:

(which are not triggers you fucking retard spacks)

This isn't opinion. This is fact. They are not triggers. They are not meant to be used for shooting. Resistance has shooting on R1. Uncharted has shooting on R1. They are not triggers.

Again with the retard comments, I would expect it from a 13 year old kid but not a grown man. It is a terrible shame you cannot have a difference of opinion without resorting to childish name calling but then I suppose the at arms length nature of forums allows you to feel powerful in such situations.

Now back to the 'triggers'. As Yaka rightly points out, a number of games use the R2 and L2 as throttle/brake control and these games feel much better with these 'trigger' addons. They are being marketing as 'triggers', it is not something I have personally come up with. Also I am not in any way saying they are trigger controls and I am fully aware that they are button controls, I am just saying that certain games feel much more comfortable when these addons are installed. You don't seem to be getting that, I am not saying R2 and L2 are triggers but these addons give these buttons a more comfortable 'trigger' like feel for games where these buttons are used for sustained periods. If you go right back up the thread you will see I have clearly stated that.

It's not a difference of opinion. They're not triggers and you just agreed!

I wasn't calling anyone a retard for not liking them.

I bought one of the magazines yesterday and unlike ST, I have to say you are retarded for preferring the triggers.

HOW DO YOUR FINGERS MANAGE TO SLIP?

HOW?

Those things are terrible.
