D'oh. I want to play games by headphones so I don't wake Matthew![]()
This headset has 2 seperate cables with 3.5mm plugs for the Mic and Headset Speakers. It also comes with a 3.5mm to USB adapter for use with the PS3. I connect the MIC 3.5mm plug into the USB Adapter (and that Adapter) into the PS3. I then go to the Settings and set the Output for the Mic to 'Default' from 'Logitech Headset' so that the all the sounds will come out the TV/Receiver. I them plug the other 3.5mm cable for the Headset speakers into the TV headset jack.
I setup this configuration because I have kids and can only play late at night due to work schedule. I hope this helps. If not post back and I will try to help describe the process better.
I have seen where some people have used a Plantronics Headset - you just have to make sure it has 2 seperate 3.5mm plugs and a USB adapter. Another solution out there is a $150 surround sound headset with mic that uses the Optical Out on the PS3.
