got a ps2 but not bought a game for it in ages, mate brought round Black a few weeks back, kind of fun in a 1st person shooter using a control pad sort of way. also there is a fairly new resident evil out if you are into that sort of thing.

We Love Katamari - probably the only reason for keeping a Sony console around these days.

Great straight, pissed or on drugs, it's awesome!

Tom, as a fellow petrolhead I can only really recommend you one game, and that is Gran Turismo 4. The best driving game there is on any platform ever to be honest with you, and all your favourite cars look awesome to boot. It takes the piss how many cars are in it really (and how many different versions of a Skyline you can buy....), so if a Zonda doesn't tickle your fancy, a Volvo 240 with nitrous might do the trick. Only the lack of Ferraris/Lambos counts against it really. My current garage includes:-

Ford GT
BMW M5 with around 750bhp
BMW M3 CSL with about 440bhp, best handling roadcar I've come across in the game so far.
BMW M Coupé - fun
Racing Nissan 350Z
Delorean
HPA Motorsports Golf R32 with 650bhp, adjusted so all the power goes to the rear wheels.
The obligatory Impreza, don't like it that much tho, doesn't handle that well :| Plus 4wd performance cars are blatantly for queers.

The game's about £14 now, I think it really should be your next buy.

Agreed.

Add to the mix:

Shadow of the Colossus
God of War (My fav)
Fahrenheit
Resident Evil 4

Bake for 20 mins. Your mini collection is complete.

GT isn't a racing sim tho. It's a driving sim, hence me putting driving in bold. And yes, there is a difference.

Fair point, though the amendment I made was that of arcadey.

And what's more, you smell of smelly cheese.

God of War is a stunner, worth owning a PS2 for that game alone.

There's serously loads of good games you can get for cheap nowadays.

I'll only list afew of my personal faves though:

Gran Turismo 4 (natch)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (Shitty Camera, but everything else is quality, consider Subsistance if you fancy splashing out a bit more.)
Final Fantasy X (XII is coming out soon, and having recently spent alot of time with FFTA recently, it's looking like the world of Ivalice is gonna be damn good. Plus Famitsu gave it 40/40, which is a rare occassion indeed.)
Shadow Of The Colossus (You must own this. And Ico.)
Prince Of Persia: SoT (A forgotten gem, what with the sequels and all that. Both of which I haven't played.)
God Of War (Overrated in my opinion, but I'll leave it to you, as it's had some outstanding reviews. Consider the DMC series also.)
Ratchet & Clank 1,2 & 3 (Best platform games on the PS2 without question)
Mercenaries (Good fun for being different)
Disgaea: Hour Of Darkness (Probably the best strategy RPG Koei did. There's also Phantom Brave which is a bit harder and Makai Kingdom, which is a little less involving.)

Then there's loads of other multiplatform games which I cba to list.

You really should, they're fantastic - particularly 2 (Warrior Within).

So Katamari (I've heard excellent things about that) and GT4 are on the list.

Can I buy them cheap from a shop, or is it best on Ebay?
